Listing Pictures

Why is it that when a realtor put a listing into the MLS  they do not have Pictures. I find this very disturbing. If you are going to take the time to put it in the mls Please make sure you have pictures. Without picture you are loosing 50% chance of selling the home. I look at the mls every morning to see what is new on the market and i find 30-40% of these new listings do not have pictures. Now how am I as a realtor going to appriciate this listing if I cannot even see it.. People Put Pictures In the MLS....

Paula

My MLS will contact you with-in 48 hours and fine you for not having photos, and these are daily fines that add up quickly. I have also found that the over-sight committee has nothing better to do/ or is just doing their job when they notify you on trivial items in the text.. but we are concerned enough about the fines that we post no listings without a few photos at least.

Hi Paula, I feel your aggravation!  I post about bad MLS photos on occasion, usually picking photos on expired listings where they have 5 pictures posted for 182 days and 2 of them are horrible pictures.  Not fair to clients.  Thanks for your post!

These are agents who are not committed to their client (listing)...and like someone else said - lazy!

Paula-

I usually upload all my photos as soon as I enter my listing into our MLS.  However, the company that I now work for, offers professional photography as a standard service to all of our sellers. These pictures are used for our website with guided tours, the MLS, and all of our marketing.  So now, I usually upload the front photo that I take myself and the rest are put in once the professional pictures are complete (about 48-72 hours after listing).

Paula that drives me insane.  I want to call the homeowner and rat out the Realtor, but I don't.  I think the broker should be checking every day.  I know of one that makes his people go out ever season and make sure they have the best pic possible
